Curiously this was a much better hand for Precision. Here south only knew partner had five spades. The Precision auction was: 1C 1S; ... after which south knew opener had five spades and 8 or more points. On most layouts, with at least one ace slam will be at worst on the diamond finesse. A good system could pinpoint the slam more accurately. By comparison it is very difficult to bid slam after 2NT. This is why 2NT is sometimes named the 'slam killer' by good players.
