South shouldn't open 1H, prefer 1D. North should also X not bid 2H as playing support Xs.
Interesting lead. North was hoping for west to have qxx and pard to have KJ.
I prefer Pass to 1H. 4=4=4=1 is the worst shape for opening four-card majors. As a likely auction 1H 2C; 2D - sounds like five hearts and that can lead to ugly results.
