North's first bid is interesting. With both majors it is possibly best to bid 1H, otherwise risk of missing a major fit, particularly if playing 4th suit forcing.
East's lead was interesting. fairly rare to lead into dummy's probable 5 card suit.

DDA indicates CQ is best but only by 0.05 tricks over the spade lead, which in turn was better than either red suit.
ReplyDeleteYou can play 1C 1D; 1H 1S as natural. If you do that then you can play a jump to 2S as fourth suit forcing.
