  1. North should bid 4c. South has difficult bid. Pretty reasonable to assume North has at least xx in hearts given the bidding, so at MPs perhaps 6H. 6C is probably safer. Could do a Blackwood enquiry just in case North has none.

  2. I posted this south hand on BridgeWinners and currently nearly half of the players are bidding 4NT. Although there is only one answered to my question about whether we need to get to hearts at MPs.

At the table I bid 6H.

I think double then bid on these auctions should show a hand with slam interest.

If so I think north should cooperate with extra distribution including long clubs and a spade control - Axx is likely opposite a singleton.

  3. South needs very little from north for slam in clubs once north over calls in clubs. If north has 6 clubs and only the Ac then if clubs split 2-2, even if north has a void in hearts and hearts split 3-3 can come home on heart suit. But north must have more than just Ac for their bid so south should be thinking possible grand slam. So South needs a bid north can't pass. If north is allowed to pass double in this situation then partnership needs another bid to convey slam interest. 4S as RKCB will allow south to sign off in 5c if north has 0 key cards and bid 7C if gets two keycards with QC.
