Exclusion RKCB would have been nice in the toolkit for north(5C = RKCB sans AC). 5S makes but on the diamond lead 6S makes. Plan the play. I use a software app called Bridge Captain for DDA card by card analysis.
Double dummy isn't always what will happen at the table. I made six from south on a club lead with only a minor (double dummy) error. I discarded on the lead and east won the ace and returned a trump. After that I got the diamonds right.
I think the trump lead is wrong but its not the worst mistake many make in a session.
