I think South has sufficient here to raise 2S to 3S, over which North would accept. But with the pass North doesn't see much chance for game. Pushed into a making game - don't u hate when that happens when u are the pusher!
More interesting perhaps is whether or not a raise to 3S is invitational or just competitive. The opponents have made another takeout double. It will often be best to raise in front of them so that they cannot divine how good their fit is rather than hearing what they bid and then pushing to 3S.
If you play 3S as competitive, then you need to bid another suit to invite game. When there is choice as here it is best to have some partnership agreement on what each bid shows. Perhaps 3C, 3D, 3H can be long suit game tries and redouble a more general try. Some might prefer short suit game tries.
Ten points, all working, and five spades is plenty to be inviting. Especially in Acol where 2S already shows extra strength, 15 balanced, or distribution.
