NS 2♠; EW 2♥; EW 3♣; EW 1N; NS 1♦; Par −100: NS 3♠×−1
east: After west has shown a long suit game try with 3C, does east have enough "working" values for the 4 level? 4C was an attempt to alert pard to the double fit, so pard could take action over 4S as appropriate. South: Pard is a passed hand, are there sufficient values to push on to 4S, noting that while any Ace is a good card, the Ace of oppo's suit in which pard should a shortage is not as good as other side suit aces. North: The hand is balanced mush with a working 8hcp, must better suited for Defence than Offence. The doubleton of oppo's suit is dangerous as pard is likely to have a doubleton as well, thus the hand has little ruffing value. If u must X with such a hand then at least leave it to pard to place the contract and not rebid the mush
I wasn't sure about 3C as the game try. Its also unclear what double means over 2S.
I don't think east should accept as along with the good clubs the spades are almost entirely defensive.
I agree North's double is marginal. Given that 3S is a big overbid. North has described their hand with double and definitely has nothing extra to show.
Someone should double but I can see why east doesn't with a minimum even though with one defensive trick.
Several questionable bids:
